Patch

A site-specific installation with sound and animation at Thunder & Lightning Gallery & Projects in Sackville, NB, in February 2017. This project is a continuation of what was started during SappyFest’s Wish You Were Here residency in May 2016. Once again I began by tracing every spot of missing floor paint in the gallery. The sound of the pencil tracing each spot was recorded and amplified in the room. Each spot was then repaired with a custom patch, flocked to match the floor colour. An animated loop of the traced drawings played back on a wall. A stack of tracing paper with the traced spots in pencil sat on a table.
